From tropical beaches to historic ruins, the Land of Smiles has it all. It’s the perfect destination for those who have yet to visit Southeast Asia – most people speak English very well and are extremely friendly, the food is great, and as long as you don’t go during the heart of the summer (temperatures can rise to over 100 degrees), the weather is gorgeous. Oh, and guys, Thai chicks dig American men. Don’t believe me? You will after spending a few weeks there.
Most big cities in Western Europe are extremely expensive, whether we are talking about hotel prices, food, or shopping. Journey East to countries like Czech Republic, and you get to appreciate beautiful old Europe without the prices of its western counterpart. There are still loads of bars strewn about Prague that serve local $1 beers. Travel to the countryside and you will see old castles sitting atop hills, and long winding cobblestone roads that lack the crowds you find in other typical travel destinations. It also doesn’t hurt to know that Eastern Europe, CR in particular, are known for having some of the most beautiful women in the world. A+ on all accounts.
Peru has arguably the best food in Latin America. It actually won the World Travel Best Culinary Destination award the past 2 years. If you like fresh seafood (think incredible ceviche) you’ll be in heaven. Peru’s original name was La ciudad de los Reyes, which means ‘the city of kings.’ Because of this, Lima and other cities in Peru have some truly incredible architecture, statues, and other forms of artwork. The American dollar goes far in Peru, and there are very few gringo’s living there or even just visiting…so if you stay there for a bit of time, don’t be surprised if you become somewhat of a local celebrity. And I’m sure if you have any knowledge of Peru, you’ve heard of the famous Inca sites and other ancient ruins like Machu Picchu, which you absolutely must visit.
